Network Cables:

the finished cat5, and the disconnected terminator cord.

Objectives: Make a cat5 cable that passes the connection test

equipment list: Cat5 cables, crimper, wire stripper.

notes and observation: make sure when terminating to have the wire come from the inside out not the other way around. we also learn about previous network cables like “the frozen garden hose” known as thicknet, and its successor thinnet, the adavantages really only being distance as todays cat5+ has a better bandwidth throughput

questions: will each cat5, cat6, etc. have more twists?

conclusions: It is not as daunting a task as i previously anticipated.
